Always abiding in the love of our Lord God, and through the prayers of our patron Saint Sava, the Decani Monastery Relief Fund continues onward in it's loving Christian appeals for your God loving donations.
Our Secretary-Treasurer has informed me that we have received, several donations for the icon of the New Martyrs of Serbia, which is a fund raiser to provide the faithful with this laminated holy icon, and the donation $12.00 plus 15% for p.& h. Please click here for more information on how you can obtain the holy icon of the New Martyrs of Serbia. Secondly, we have received our first donation also in Memory Eternal of Our Lord in Christ the reposed martyr Father Hariton. If you would like to make donations to the Decani Monastery Relief Fund in memory of Hieromartyr Hariton, please send your donation indicated at the end of this text.
His Grace Bishop, Artemije of Kosovo, and Father Sava, also Archimandrite Theodosius, all give humble thanks to our Lord and send their blessings to all those kind souls that, with their prayers and unselfish donations, have not only touched so many desperately needy brothers and sisters from Kosovo, approximately 1,000 families since the foundation of this fund in October 1998, but also because they have touched all of us, from Vladika Artemije to all brothers and sisters in the Serbian Orthodox Churches and Monasteries throughout Kosovo, that have endured the agony of seeing their flock fleeing Kosovo and the terror of having their Churches and Monasteries destroyed, desecrated and mutilated, seeing the same destiny shared by all who still remain in Kosovo. Everytime we send a donation to the Decani Monastery both myself, and Father Sava, and Veljko Sikirica, delight with humble gratitude in knowing many more people in Kosovo will be assisted with the needs of some fire wood, some food, shelter, and assistance for medical help. Thanks be to our Lord God for all the good hearted people for helping in your loving donations, and from sharing with all of us your endless and unselfish love in our Lord! Please remember in your prayers those in an abundance who still need our God loving prayers and help!
We cannot forget the Decani Monastery Relief Fund concert that was held recently in Boston, Massachusetts by the great efforts of Bill Powell, who worked with great loving efforts to make this concert a great success, all of those who assisted Bill has brought us all tremendous joy in granting our fund a gracious donation. This concert truly delighted the Decani Monastery Relief Fund, beyond words! The sound of this concert and it's voices have been heard in Kosovo. Father Sava himself was so pleased with this concert, and he assures Bill Powell, and all those who assisted him, God loving prayers, and deep thanks! We indeed all thank Bill Powell, and all those who kindly sent a donation for the fund, what a blessings, and what a great Christian kindness! May our Lord God reward each of you! What a great example of Christian concern and outreach for others. We send deep thanks again and again to you humbly Bill Powell, and all those who had sung at the Concert in Boston, Massachusetts, as well as each God loving soul who made a thoughtful donation for this fund!
Veljko Sikirica also informs us that the special occasion of the Feast day (Slava) of the Decani Monastery, last November 24, the day of the miracle-working St. Stefan of Decani, when again the names of all of the donors have been mentioned, and we humbly thank each of you!
Finally as some of us might of heard Father Sava has now returned back to the Decani Monastery, and will remain at his monastery, as Father Sava had earlier assisted as Secretary to Vladika (Bishop) Artemije, felt it was time to return to his monastery, the angelic life he loves. Father Sava himself addressed me telling me to please ask that we continue onward in the support of the Decani Monastery Relief Fund, and that both he and Father Theodosius would continue to reach out to the needs throughout Kosovo indeed with great Christian love.
Now we would like to humbly submit to you for your consideration up until 10 December 2000, Report of the Decani Monastery Relief Fund. This report is a three-month report and includes months of September, October, and November 2000. Please humbly keep in mind that all donations reach the Decani Monastery in Kosovo, and as soon as these loving donations are received provisions are provided for all people within Kosovo, by the kind God loving efforts of the monastic brotherhood of the monastery. Please also note that a name may be repeated, because another thoughtful donations was sent. What a great Christian kindness, and what a thoughtful act of love!
With love in Christ,
